Sonification is the act of creating systems which can sense, read and interpret information and translate it to sound such as tones, patterns, rhythms, etc.
Using Bio-Data Sonification technology we can translate the natural bio-electric patterns of plants, fungi, people, etc into music.
Technology in conversation with nature
Bio-data sonfication of plants, soil, fungi and the whole wide natural world does more than give us inspirational creative tools for making music, it centers nature and connects and embeds the act of creation within nature. This closeness to nature leads us, our learners and audiences into powerful and necessary conversations surrounding the relationship between human technologies(especially electronic tech using rare earth metals, etc) and the conservation of the natural world.
