Jared Zarantonello is a sound artist, music producer, and educator based in Louisville, Ky. Jared produces music and deejays under the moniker “Yared Sound”, and is co-founder of Rhythm Science Sound, where they work to cultivate and forward a liberatory dance music culture. Jared's work sits at the intersection of critical history, migration, and sound. Their mixes and productions employ strategies of sonic archivism, dub versioning, and pure rhythm-science with the hope of mobilizing people and ideas to the dancefloor.
Jared holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Louisville and a M.A. in Forced Migration Studies from the University of East London Where their research focused on the relationship between contemporary global migration and dance music.
