Fanon Salon: A space for discourse + music + culture

Fanon: Frantz Fanon was a psychiatrist, and political philosopher, from Martinique. His works have become influential in the fields of post-colonial studies, and critical theory. Fanon was a Pan-Africanist who focused on psychology of colonization and the human, social and cultural consequences of decolonization
 

Salon: an intimate social gathering, where intellectuals, writers, artists, & philosophers met in to discuss literature, science, politics, and philosophy.

The Fanon Salon is a safe, welcoming and inclusive space, grounded in critical theory and community,

on the 4th Monday of each month from 5:30-8:30pm

Digital copy of each month's reading(s)

Curated visuals that reflect topic and theme

Live DJ sets with music reflective of theme/topic

Opportunities to speak your mind (small 2 minute active listening moment)
