Free to enroll..Space limited--register today!! Class will take place on Feb 16th 9:30am-5pm. Rhythm Science Sound invites young learners and curious minds (ages 8-17) to a day of exploring music making, creative technology and the science of sound at Beechmont Community Center. RSS artist educators will lead participants as they: +Meet, greet and get to know their fellow Rhythm Scientists through music rooted activities. +Learn about and experience the impact of rhythm and sound on wellness and mental health. +Make music with electronic instruments like theremins, synthesizers, and drum machines, loopers, etc. +Learn and experiment with new music technologies(such as making melodies from plants!, or a keyboard in the shape of a sphere!) and dive into the science behind these fascinating technologies. +Explore and discuss the kaleidoscope of music and music cultures around the globe. +Enjoy an opportunity for listening and movement during a dance music performance mixed by RSS and learner Djs. The event will be free and will take place on Monday Feb 16(no JCPS school) at Beechmont Community Center(Address: 205 W Wellington Ave, Louisville, KY 40214)
